Does anyone ever read the first post of a blog anyway?
Welcome to the blog “consider Him.” I guess I should start off with an explanation of why this blog exists.
First and foremost, this blog exists to serve God and hopefully minister to others. Aside from this, I started this blog for several reasons:
I always have various theological thoughts bouncing around my head. I thought it might be a good idea (and beneficial to my spiritual health) to write them down. Since I’m writing them down, I thought I’d go with the times and post them to the Internet too. Hopefully someone out there may benefit from them, or notice an error or mistake on my part and correct me. Either one would make this blog a success.
I also may direct attention to posts made by other Christian blogs, or reply to a post made by them. I also may want to highlight a good Christian resource I found. You can check the blogroll for a listing of some of the blogs I read, as well as a list of online resources I recommend.
Finally, I may post interesting or profound quotes that I happen across, and that I thought should be spread. If I ever quote something illegally, I’m sorry. Let me know and I’ll take it down.
A little about me: My name is Richard Schneider. I’m a pretty nice guy, although I often get serious when discussing theology or philosophy.
One last thing: I encourage everybody to comment and (constructively) criticize my postings. Although I don’t expect many people to be reading this post, I’d like to know if anybody eventually happens to stumble on the blog.
Here’s to the start of a successful blog and a ministry that brings people closer to God.
Thanks for reading, “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV)
